Our Story
Pee Wee’s House is a nonprofit organization founded by D.J. and Briyana Humphries to serve and uplift the Union, South Carolina community.
Created in honor of D.J.’s late grandmother, Pee Wee, the organization reflects the values she lived by: compassion, generosity, and looking out for others. Her spirit of care and community continues to guide the work we do today.
Through programs centered on food access, youth support, family resources, and community engagement, Pee Wee’s House exists to help families feel supported and empowered in their everyday lives.
Our goal is simple but meaningful:

As people who come from humble beginnings and remain deeply connected to the Union community, our passion lies in creating environments where families feel supported and individuals are given the tools to grow, heal, and succeed.
Pee Wee’s House is a reflection of our personal values and lived experiences, understanding firsthand the importance of access, education, nourishment, and emotional support.
Inspired by Pee Wee’s life and guided by a vision for a stronger community, we are committed to building something that uplifts with intention and leaves a legacy of hope for generations to come.
